Blog Sector Turismo: altamente recomendable
¿Cuál es la primera industria Nacional? EL TURISMO.
Y sin embargo, es una gran desconocida no ya por el gran público, sino por una proporción impresionante de ejecutivos, periodistas, medios de comunicación… y blogs. Sólo existe uno de calidad, con información y que elabora pensamiento sobre este sector: el blog de J. García sobre turismo, una visita altamente recomendable. Y explico por qué:
Nuestras hipotecas, el flujo y la dinámica de nuestra economía, dependen dramáticamente de los ingresos de esos 40 millones de almas que vienen de vacaciones a nuestro país desde casi cualquier parte del mundo.
No es por ser alarmista, pero nuestra industria tiene serios enemigos en el horizonte, y como señala javier en su último post, se llaman los “seis dragones mediterráneos (Turquia, Egipto, Marruecos, Tunez, Croacia y Bulgaria)”.
Los guiris son mucho más atrevidos de lo que nosotros pensamos. Llevan saliendo a hacer turismo por el mundo generaciones (nosotros, sólo una década, ni una generación), y van a países donde ni hablan inglés, ni tienen una imagen de estabilidad grande, ni nada de nada. Turquía se llena de Belgas, es su primer destino turístico nacional ¿alguien lo entiende? Supongo yo que rollo antiguas colonias de por allí y tal tendrá que ver, pero… están desarrollando la industria de la zona en base a los ingresos (y el incentivo que suponen) de esos turistas.
El problema creo que es lo atomizado del sector. Mucho muchísimo pequeño empresario, y con escasa (o nula) formación estratégica, y en la zona de levante eso ya lo podemos combinar con el clásico (y suicida) ‘El Mañana No Existe’, o lo que es lo mismo: una mentalidad enfocada completamente al corto plazo, a hacer negocio (y no tanto a hacer empresa). Hostias en sectores como Turrón, Juguete, Calzado, Mármol… no les han enseñado la lección, directamente han cerrado + despedido (muchas veces sin pagar indemnizaciones gracias a artilugios legales) + se han dirigido al siguiente negocio en ‘boom’, como ahora pasa con el inmobiliario. Esa huída hacia delante desaforada un día no encontrará la siguiente tabla de salvación, y llegarán los lamentos.
Y en el turismo, aunque nuestra posición competitiva es fuerte, pasa otro tanto: que viene el lobo, y piensan que no, que las vacas gordas durarán siempre. Y no es así.
En un sector tan atomizado, es de agradecer la preocupación y el punto de profesionalidad (y cordura) que introducen los agentes públicos (administraciones, corporaciones locales), pero ellos no hacen las grandes inversiones (excepto infraestructuras, muy importantes) me refiero a las inversiones del sector: ocio, diversión, ventajas competitivas…
Todo esto viene, porque pasamos tanto de la primera industria, la que nos sacó del hambre y nos da de comer, que blogs sobre el tema sólo encuentro en España uno. El de Javier García. Suerte que es un blog fantástico, que ofrece mucha información, una óptica profesional, un pensamiento estretégico y un análisis de la evolución del sector crítico y brillante.
Pero siendo nuestra primera industria nacional, debería haber más. Más movimiento. Más interés hacia lo nuevo, más innovación. ¿Dónde está la industria turística Española en Internet??? ¿Somos alguien en el canal de venta por excelencia? No, las empresas que lo dominan son extranjeras. Y eso nos debilita, aunque hoy no se note.
Destacar, no obstante, la entrada de la CAM en el accionariado de TUI uno de los principales touroperadores mundiales, que debería ser algo de lo que aún se hablara porque es muy muy relevante. Y sin embargo nos pasamos el día hablando de movimientos de empresas extranjeras que realmente poco o nada nos influyen realmente. No está mal, a mí me encanta (aprendo mucho), pero ¿Y el turismo?
Esto es un signo, un aviso a navegantes. Se habla tan poco… que no es bueno.
En un caso de crisis tiene la fortuna del capital acumulado durante décadas de bonanza, pero… si se llega a una crisis, si se espera a una crisis para reaccionar, eso no es bueno para nadie. Y a tí, que vives en Pozuelo de Alarcón, o en Albacete también te afecta.
Por eso este post, para recomendar no sólo seguir el Blog de Javier García Cuenca, sino para que lo metáis en el bloglines, para que lo comentéis, trackbackéis, y sobre todo que lo multipliquéis. Lo multipliquemos. Un poco de ‘conversación blog’ en este sector, un poco hablar de él, puede ser una parte de lo que el sector necesita. Aportar puntos de vista, conocimientos y centrar la atención es una de las virtudes de los blogs, las críticas, las ideas, las novedades y alabanzas quedan en posts flotando en google a los ojos de todos. Al alcance de todos. Y eso es una parte de la solución del problema. El problema de un sector que necesita encontrar un estilo de vida competitivo, y no acomodaticio como el actual.

Muchas gracias Ferran. El haber sido popmkeado se nota mucho en las visitas que estoy recibiendo en mi blog. Desde luego es completamente cierto que falta conversación en mi sector tanto en la blogosfera como en otros medios, a pesar de que el turismo es uno de los sectores más importantes de nuestra economÃa. Esperemos que con el tiempo cambie. De momento cada uno ya hemos puesto nuestro granito de arena.
